  • No, there are no fees for adopting an animal from our shelter. We believe in finding loving homes for all our animals, and we want to make the adoption process as accessible as possible.

  • We are always in need of donations, particularly items like bleach, towels and rags, and cat litter. These supplies help us maintain a clean and comfortable environment for the animals in our care. Donations can be dropped off at the shelter during our operating hours. If you have any questions about other ways to support, please call us at 520-254-1131. Every contribution, big or small, makes a difference!

  • Spaying or neutering your animal is essential for several reasons. It helps reduce the number of unwanted animals in our community, which in turn lowers the number of animals that end up in shelters. Additionally, spaying and neutering can improve your pet's health by reducing the risk of certain cancers and other health issues. It can also lead to better behavior, as neutered pets are less likely to roam, mark territory, or display aggression. By spaying or neutering your pet, you are contributing to a healthier, safer community for all animals.

  • If you need to surrender an animal to the shelter, the process is straightforward but requires an appointment. Please call the shelter at 520-254-1131 to schedule a time for the surrender. During the appointment, our staff will ask for some basic information about the animal, such as its medical history, behavior, and reason for surrender. This helps us provide the best care and placement for the animal. Please note that we only accept surrenders by appointment.

  • If you find a stray animal, please contact the Department of Public Safety at 520-384-4673 to arrange for the animal to be picked up. If the animal is aggressive or dangerous, dial 911 immediately for assistance to ensure everyone’s safety.

If the stray animal is safe to handle and you’re able to bring it to the shelter yourself, please do so during our operating hours, or call us at 520-254-1131 for guidance.
