Sunset Cemetery is organized into sections, called plats, which were developed over time. Each plat is divided into lots, with each lot containing up to six gravesites. For cremation urns, up to eight may be placed with appropriate spacing.
Certain areas within the cemetery remain undeveloped, and burial spaces are not available in these sections until they have been fully prepared and platted.
The city maintains pathways within the cemetery by providing water, weed control, and road grading in developed areas. All other maintenance, such as individual gravesite upkeep, is the responsibility of family members.
Sunset Cemetery is a place of quiet remembrance, honoring the legacy of those who rest here. The City of Willcox is committed to preserving this peaceful environment and providing essential services to support families in their times of need.
